Missed part of 1983-84 season with damaged margins of right retina, an injury suffered when he was hit in the eye with a high stick by Steve Shutt during St. Louis' Nov. 15, 1983, game vs. Montreal. The injury required cryotherapy on Nov. 19, 1983. ... Played on line with Doug Gilmour and Jorgen Petterson for St. Louis in 1984 playoffs. ... Scored for St. Louis at 17:07 of second OT to beat Red Wings 4-3 in Game 3 of 1984 Norris Division semifinals on April 7, 1984, in Detroit. It was the longest game in St. Louis Blues history to that date (record since broken). ... Served as St. Louis assistant captain while Brian Sutter was hurt during 1985-86 season. ... Became first player in St. Louis history to score two career playoff OT goals when his goal beat Leafs 4-3 in Game 5 of 1986 Norris Division semis on April 26, 1986. ... Missed part of 1986-87 season with second- and third-degree burns on right hand, suffered when he had an accident while making popcorn at home on Nov. 25, 1986. The burns required surgery in December 1986. ... Had contract bought out by Hartford on June 8, 1989, and chose to continue his playing career in Europe.
