HOW HE GOT AWAY
TRADE: N.Y. Rangers traded Weeks to Hartford in exchange for future considerations (conditional draft pick) on September 5, 1984. The deal called for N.Y. Rangers to get Hartford's 1986 second-round pick if Weeks won a combined 25 ergular-season and playoff games in 1984-85 and 1985-86, and a 1986 third-round pick if Weeks did not reach 25 wins. Weeks won a total of 23 games, and the deal was completed when N.Y. Rangers received 1986 third-round pick (Shaun Clouston).
