Miscellaneous: Signed WHA contract with Edmonton prior to 1978 NHL
draft. ... Did not sign with Detroit after NHL draft, having already
jumped to WHA. ... Traded by Edmonton (WHA) to Indianapolis for future
considerations in November 1978. ... Was on Indianapolis (WHA) team that
folded on Dec. 15, 1978. George was returned to Edmonton to negate trade that
brought him to Indianapolis. ... Did not enter the NHL until the
1979 NHL-WHA merger when Detroit regained his pro hockey rights in the NHL
Reclaim Draft on June 9, 1979. |
