WHA Draft Pick:
1975 (by Edmonton, No. 21 overall in Round 2)
1975-76: Played two regular-season games for Spokane team that went on to win Allan Cup, but was not with team during postseason.
Miscellaneous: Missed most of 1976-77 season with fractured skull. He suffered the injury during Edmonton's Oct. 19, 1976, game vs. Phoenix in a collision with Phoenix center Seppo Repo. He was knocked unconscious and swallowed his tongue on the play. Edmonton and Phoenix trainers managed to save his life, but he was hospitalized for several days after the incident. Ironically, it was one of the first times Morris had ever taken the ice without a helmet. He returned late in the season to play for Springfield (AHL). ... Was playing for Spokane when PHL folded after 1978-79 regular season.
Personal: Also known as Pete Morris during his playing days. ... Son of former Canadian Football League player Frank Morris.
