Miscellaneous: Missed part of 1975-76 season with severe hip bruise. ... Missed entire 1977-78 season with broken right leg suffered in Buffalo's 1977 training camp. He suffered the injury when he collided with a Philadelphia player in front of the Buffalo net during an Oct. 9, 1977, preseason game in Philadelphia. ... Announced his retirement in November 1978, but returned to action with Buffalo in January 1979. Told his future with the Sabres was uncertain, he quit hockey after the 1978-79 season so he could provide for his wife and baby. ... Became active in Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association after his retirement, playing in Oldtimers' charity hockey games and golf events.
