PROSPECT-UPDATE ARCHIVE

Well, the Hockey Draft Central home office had a major power-outage in early March. The power came back after a few days, but it took weeks to catch up to the work of daily prospect updates. So, in the spirit of moving along, check out abbreviated versions of each lost day's events.

Unfortunate, no video is available to accompany this all-goaltender day.

Star of the Night

TY SMITH -- Smith, the top draft-eligible defenseman in the WHL, had a goal and an assist as Spokane beat Portland 5-2 to force a Game 7 in their opening-round playoff series. Smith's goal was the eventual game-winner for a 3-1 lead at 7:52 of the second period. His assist came on a power-play goal that made it 4-1 six minutes later at 13:50. Smith has points in three straight playoff games and four of the six games played in the Portland series. (Note: 10th appearance on this list in 2017-18)
