PROSPECT-UPDATE ARCHIVE

Well, the Hockey Draft Central home office had a major power-outage in early March. The power came back after a few days, but it took weeks to catch up to the work of daily prospect updates. So, in the spirit of moving along, check out abbreviated versions of each lost day's events:

Stars of the Night

NICOLAS BEAUDIN -- The defenseman had a goal and two assists as Drummondville beat Cape Breton 6-3 in QMJHL playoff action. The game's No. 1 star had the primary assist on his team's first goal -- a power-play tally at 9:27 of the first period for a 1-1 tie. He scored at 6:10 of the second to tie it 2-2 and had another primary assist on the game-winner for a 4-2 lead at 15:23 of the second. That gave him a goal and four assists in the playoffs. (Note: Ninth appearance on this list in 2017-18)

EVAN BOUCHARD -- The dominant North American draft-eligible defenseman kept up his act in the OHL playoffs, earning No. 3 star honors in London's 4-3 OT loss to Owen Sound. Bouchard was the only reason the game went to overtime. He set up a power-play goal at 10:30 of the second period to cut the lead to 3-2 and later came through with a power-play goal at 15:01 of the third, forcing the OT. Through three playoff games, Bouchard had a goal and four assists, as well as a five-game overall scoring streak. (Note: 19th appearance on this list in 2017-18 -- leads all defensemen)
