PROSPECT-UPDATE ARCHIVE

Well, the Hockey Draft Central home office had a major power-outage in early March. The power came back after a few days, but it took weeks to catch up to the work of daily prospect updates.

So, in the spirit of moving along, check out abbreviated versions of each lost day's events:

Stars of the Night

OSKAR BACK -- The big center scored both Karlstad goals in a 4-2 loss at Skelleftea. His unassisted goal at 3:51 of third period to cut the lead to 3-1. Back then made it a 3-2 game by scoring short-handed with nine seconds remaining. His Swedish U20 point streak went to four games and his goal streak to three. (Note: Third appearance on this list in 2017-18)

LUKAS DOSTAL -- The Czech junior goaltending sensation made his first Under-20 start since Jan. 20, and he continued his winning ways with 32 saves in Brno's 5-3 win over Hradec Kralove. Dostal stopped 11 of 13 shots in the first period, 12 of 13 in the second, and all nine in the third. Although he has spent much of the season facing men in the WSM Liga, Dostal has won eight of his last 10 U20 stars. (Note: 16th appearance on this list in 2017-18 -- leads all goaltenders)

ALBIN ERIKSSON -- Eriksson scored two goals on 10 shots for Skelleftea's U20 team in a 4-2 victory over Karlstad. His first  came on a late second-period power play to make it 2-0. He scored again less than two minutes later for a 3-0 lead at 17:17. That gave him points in three of his past four Swedish U20 games. (Note: Third appearance on this list in 2017-18)

CALEN KIEFIUK -- With two goals in Central Illinois' 5-4 win over Muskegon, Kiefiuk was the No. 1 star. The Michigan recruit scored at 14:03 of the first period to put his team up 2-1 and later stretched that lead to 5-2 with the game-winner at 8:04 of the second. That brought him to 14 goals in 51 USHL games this season. (Note: Second appearance on this list in 2017-18)

JORDAN KOOY -- London's backup goaltender continued to make his case for the NHL draft with 36 saves in the Knights' 4-3 win at Flint. He stopped seven of eight shots in the first period, 17 of 19 in the second, and all 12 in the third -- giving him wins in four straight OHL starts dating back to Feb. 10. (Note: Sixth appearance on this list in 2017-18)

VITALI KRAVTSOV -- The surging Russian had a goal and an assist in Chelyabinsk's 4-3 KHL playoff win over Nizhnekamsk, giving him goals in three of five postseason games. This tally came on a power play at 1:35 of the second period, putting Traktor up 2-1. He later assisted on another power-play goal to make it 3-1 at 3:30 of the second. He did it all in only 10:30 of icetime. (Note: Fifth appearance on this list in 2017-18)

ETHAN MANDERVILLE -- Former NHLer Kent Manderville's son closed out the OJHL regular in style with two goals and an assist in the Ottawa Jr. Senators' 8-0 rout of Navan. The game's No. 1 star scored the winner just 1:31 into the first period, had an assist in the second, and scored again 16 seconds into the third to make it 6-0. It was his first OJHL two-goal game.

NIKLAS NORDGREN -- Nordgren, who spent time in Finland's Liiga this season, continued his domination of the Under-20 ranks with two goals and an assist in Helsinki IFK's 3-0 playoff win over Pori, which clinched the best-of-three series. He needed only 23 seconds of game time to score the eventual winner. He followed with two points in the third period, including a power-play goal to close the scoring. Nordgren, who had not played in the U20 league since Dec. 10, put up three goals in his first two playoff games. (Note: Fourth appearance on this list in 2017-18)

OLIVIER RODRIGUE -- The QMJHL's most consistent draft-eligible goalie turned aside 26 shots in Drummondville's 5-1 win at Val d'Or. His only goal allowed came on one of 12 second-period shots. The win lifted him to 4-0-1 over his last five starts. (Note: 13th appearance on this list in 2017-18)

FILIP ZADINA -- Zadina added to his legacy with two goals in Halifax's 3-2 loss at Bathurst. His 41st of the season came at 15:40 of the first period to cut it to 2-1, and he later scored an unassisted goal for a 2-2 with seven seconds left in he middle period. His QMJHL point streak reached three games. (Note: 21st appearance on this list in 2017-18 -- leads all players)
