Daily 2018 Draft Prospect Updates

Well, the Hockey Draft Central home office had a major power-outage in early March. The power came back after a few days, but it took weeks to catch up to the work of daily prospect updates.

So, in the spirit of moving along, check out abbreviated versions of each lost day's events:

Stars of the Night

ZACHARY EMOND -- Rouyn-Noranda's backup goaltender stopped 28 saves in the Huskies' 7-1 rout of visiting Val d'Or. He denied all nine Foreurs shots in the first period and all 10 in the third. In his last four QMJHL starts, he has gone 2-0-2 with a .942 save percentage. (Note: Sixth appearance on this list in 2017-18)

ALEXIS GRAVEL -- Gravel made 29 saves for Halifax in a 3-1 win at Rimouski for his third straight QMJHL  victory. He stopped eight of eight first-period shots, nine of 10 in the second, and all 12 in the third to improve to 3-0-1 in his four most recent starts. (Note: 10th appearance on this list in 2017-18)

DANIIL ISAYEV -- Yaroslavl's talented, draft-eligible goalie had a shutout with 29 saves in a 4-0 win over Moscow Dynamo to close the MHL regular season. He made seven saves in the first period and 11 in both the second and third. With two shutouts in his final four starts, Isayev entered the playoffs on a high note. (Note: Seventh appearance on this list in 2017-18)

JACK McBAIN -- The future Boston College Eagle notched two more playoff goals in a 4-3 win at Oakville. The No. 1 star scored on a power play at 14:15 of the first period for a 1-1 tie and delivered the dramatic game-winner at 15:12 of the third. McBain had six goals and three assists through his first three OJHL playoff games. (Note: 12th appearance on this list in 2017-18)

FILIP ZADINA -- It was a big, three-point night for Zadina in Halifax's 3-1 win at Rimouski, as the game's No. 1 star snapped a rare run of six QMJHL outings without multiple points. He scored the opening goal just 47 seconds into game and recorded the primary assist on the game-winner at 18:10 of the first period. (Note: 20th appearance on this list in 2017-18 -- leads all players)
