PROSPECT-UPDATE ARCHIVE

Well, the Hockey Draft Central home office had a major power-outage in early March. The power came back after a few days, but it took weeks to catch up to the work of daily prospect updates.

So, in the spirit of moving along, check out abbreviated versions of each lost day's events:

Stars of the Night

ZACHARY BOUTHILLIER -- The No. 1 star of Chicoutimi's 3-1 win over Drummondville, goaltender Bouthillier stopped 38 shots for his second consecutive QMJHL victory. Bouthillier stopped all 12 Voltigeurs shots in the first period and 13 of 14 in the second. He was particularly sharp down the stretch with 13 saves in a perfect third period, and has gone back-to-back games as a three-star selection. (Note: Ninth appearance on this list in 2017-18)

NATE McDONALD -- McDonald stopped 41 shots for Markham in a 4-2 OJHL playoff win over Newmarket. He made his mark early, making saves on all but one of the visitors' 21 first-period shots. He went on to stop 10 of 11 in the second period and all 11 in the third. This was the third straight game in which McDonald made 40 or more saves, having faced 179 shots over a four-game span in which his save percentage was .927. (Note: Second appearance on this list in 2017-18)

NIKITA RTISCHEV -- The Moscow Red Army forward scored twice in a 5-3 win at Cherepovets. His first goal came shorthanded just 2:01 into the game. His second goal stood up as the game-winner, giving Red Army a 4-1 lead at 8:45 of the second period. Rtischev was up to 16 goals and 30 points in 44 MHL games, including points in six of his previous eight. (Note: Third appearance on this list in 2017-18)
