Miscellaneous: Became first professional goalie to score a goal when he scored for Kansas City (CHL) in a game against Oklahoma City on Feb. 21, 1971. While clearing a loose puck with 44 seconds left in a 2-1 game, he flipped it all the way down the ice into the opposing goal. ... Died of a heart attack in Ile du Pas, Quebec, at age 58.
HOW HE GOT AWAY
LOAN/EXPANSION: Montreal loaned Plasse to St. Louis for cash on Dec. 11, 1970. Montreal got him back on Aug. 23, 1971. Montreal lost Plasse when it left him unprotected for the 1974 NHL Expansion Draft and he was claimed by Kansas City on June 12, 1974.
