Daily 2018 Draft Prospect Updates

PROSPECT-UPDATE ARCHIVE

Not a ton of games on Wednesday, but enough to put together a list of three strong performances. Most of the action was in Europe, which is getting back up to speed after a couple of weeks off for international tournaments.

It's going to be a busy weekend as always, and these three 2018 draft prospects warmed up for the weekend in style. See for yourself:

Stars of the Night

DOMINIK BOKK -- Bokk has been so good this season that he has already spent some time in the SHL playing against men. Not bad for a German kid who is having his first taste of tougher competition. On Wednesday, he got right back to work in the Vaxjo Under-20 team's 6-2 win over Karlskrona. Bokk scored two goals and added an assist to pace the Lakers. He didn't waste any time, picking up two first-period points with a remarkable breakaway goal at 6:43 and the primary assist on a power-play marker for a 3-0 lead at 17:22. Bokk closed out his big day with a goal at 16:27 of the third period, making it 6-1. Bokk is currently on a four-game point streak that has seen him total nine points. (Note: Fourth appearance on this list in 2017-18)

TY DELLANDREA -- The Flint Firebirds aren't having much of a season, but Dellandrea has boosted his draft stock by rising above the mediocrity. Wednesday was one of those nights, as Dellandra recorded three assists and won six of nine faceoffs in Flint's 5-3 upset of Sarnia, the OHL's top team. Dellandrea, the  No. 2 star, scored all of his points in the decisive third period. His first assists was the primary helper on a goal at 10:07 of the third to put Flint up 3-2. He then picked up the primary assist on the game-winning goal at 17:35 -- breaking a 3-3 tie. He finished by setting up an empty-net goal at 19:27. Dellandrea's effort ended a four-game scoring drought and gave him 15 points in 20 games. (Note: Third appearance on this list in 2017-18)

DANIIL ISAYEV -- Isayev is a really exciting goalie prospect, who could be the first Russian netminder drafted in 2018. On Wednesday, he made 26 saves to give Yaroslavl's MHL squad a 1-0 win at Khabarovsk. The victory was Isayev's 10th of the season and his third shutout. Through 13 games, he has an incredible .945 save percentage. He needs to gain a few pounds, but he has the height to be an NHL goalie. (Note: Fourth appearance on this list in 2017-18)
