HOW HE GOT AWAY

Quebec claimed him off the Birmingham roster in the 1979 WHA Dispersal Draft, but Minnesota regained his rights in the NHL Reclaim Draft on June 9, 1979. Minnesota placed Tebbutt on waivers two months later, and he was claimed by Quebec on August 13, 1979.
