Miscellaneous: Left unprotected by N.Y. Islanders in 1979 NHL Expansion Draft, but was reclaimed as fill-in after Gerry Hart was taken off N.Y. Islanders roster on June 13, 1979. ... Missed start of 1981-82 season with broken knuckle in left hand, an injury suffered while fighting during one of Colorado's Oct. 3, 1981, preseason game at Winnipeg. ... Missed remainder of 1981-82 season with separated shoulder, an injury suffered in a fight with Jim Pavese during Colorado's Nov. 28, 1981, game at St. Louis. The injury required season-ending surgery on Jan. 4, 1982. ... Was on Colorado team that relocated to New Jersey on June 30, 1982.

Retired for first time after 1984-85 season but came out of retirement to play and coach in New Brunswick senior league from 1987 to 1991. ... Returned to Saint John, N.B., after his first retirement and went to work for Irving Oil Limited before becoming full-time coach.
