Named head coach of Tucson (PHL) prior to 1978-79 season and remained in that position until league folded after the 1978-79 regular season. ... Named head coach of Seattle (WHL) prior to 1979-80 season and remained in that position until March 1981 when the financially-strapped team laid him off because it could no longer pay his salary.
Managerial Career: Named assistant general manager of Seattle (WHL) prior to 1979-80 season and remained in that position until team laid him off in March 1981. ... Joined with father in 1992 to resurrect and reorganize the Central Hockey League, and served as league's commissioner from 1992 through 1996-97 season. ... Bought share of Dubuque (USHL) and moved team to Tulsa in 2001. Served as President, General Manager and Director of Business Operations for the Tulsa Crude until team folded on April 9, 2002.
Miscellaneous: Played on Phoenix (CHL) team that folded on Dec. 13, 1977.
Personal: Son of former minor-league coach and minor-league and NHL executive Ray Miron, who briefly served as president of the original Central Hockey League and was also general manager of the Colorado Rockies from 1976-1981. Ray Miron was coaching Toronto's CHL affiliate in Tulsa when his son was drafted by the organization. The CHL's championship trophy is now known as the Ray Miron Cup.
