Named Hartford director of amateur hockey development in September 1989 and remained in that position through 1996-97 season.
Miscellaneous: Became only the third Jewish person to play goaltender in the NHL when he made his debut on Dec. 5, 1973. At the time, several newspapers mistakenly reported that he was the first, and the story received considerable media attention. ... Served as backup to Hall of Famer Tony Esposito while playing in Chicago from 1972 to 1980. ... Missed second half of 1977-78 season with phlebitis. ... Became first goalie in Hartford/Carolina franchise history to record a shutout on road when he beat Winnipeg 2-0 on Dec. 17, 1982.

TRADE: Chicago traded Veisor to Hartford in exchange for Hartford's 1981 or 1982 second-round pick on June 19, 1980. Chicago exercised the option in 1981 and selected Kevin Griffin.
