Coaching Career: Worked as a youth hockey coach in the Buffalo area for many years after his retirement and served as head coach of multiple teams in various age groups of the Amherst Youth Hockey Association.

Education: Attended University of Alberta, where he studied teaching.

Career Beyond Hockey: Returned to the Buffalo area and went into the insurance and financial-services business after his retirement. He eventually became a registered representative of MetLife Securities Inc.

Family: Older brother of former major-junior and Canadian university player Rick Wyrozub.

Significant Injuries

Missed part of 1970-71 season with broken collarbone and eye injury, suffered when he fell awkwardly into the boards after being checked by Guy Lapointe early in the first period of Buffalo's Nov. 15, 1970, game vs. Montreal. He did not return until the final two months of the season, which he spent with Salt Lake (WHL).

Miscellaneous:

Selected by Alberta Oilers in 1972 WHA Draft -- the first-ever WHA Draft -- in February 1972. Selected by Los Angeles Sharks in 1973 WHA draft of established professional players. Made Buffalo roster out of training camp as rookie but was shifted to left wing by Sabres. Played both left wing and right wing for Buffalo during 1971-72 season.
